The loss of someone important can be a catalyst for reflection. The elements of life (and death) can inspire us to pause for just a moment - just long enough - to maybe realize what we have, before it's gone. Every sound in this song, with the exception of the lyrics, is created with an actual hardware synthesizer: Clavia Nordlead 2, Novation Nova, or the Korg Volca FM. Three synths, some vocals, and anything goes in production. Sometimes less is more, and I wanted to challenge myself with a limited palette. This song is the first in the Superstruct series.
